Doctor Who Episode 6.12 Title Confirmed

The hiatus is almost over, and Doctor Who series 6 is almost back to our screens for a final stretch of six episodes! We'll be starting with "Let's Kill Hitler" on August 27, but some of the season's final episodes are just now getting titled.

Take, for instance, the twelfth and penultimate episode of the season. In interviews, star Matt Smith had referred to it as "The Lodger Part 2," considering it featured the same major guest cast as series 5's "The Lodger" (James Corden and Daisy Haggard will be returning to reprise their roles as Craig and Sophie).

However, while the characters are being revisited, the episode isn't titled "The Lodger Part 2." No, it's instead titled "Closing Time." It's not yet quite clear how that title relates to the storyline of the episode, which features the Cybermen and the Cybermats.

Though The Daily Star had initially reported that "Closing Time" was the title, it's been confirmed that their reports of the finale being titled "The Wedding" are false. Doctor Who magazine is reporting that the title for the finale is "something so secret we’re not allowed to say what it is yet," though they hinted that the title was five words long.

The second half of the season will consist of "Let's Kill Hitler," "Night Terrors," "The Girl Who Waited," "The God Complex," "Closing Time," and the untitled finale. "Let's Kill Hitler" premieres Saturday, August 27, on BBC1 in the UK and BBC America in the US.
