Doctor Who: Prequel Webisode is Available NOW, Along With New ‘Iconic’ Image

The prequel webisode to the highly anticipated Doctor Who series six opener, “The Impossible Astronaut,” has finally been released on both BBC and BBC America’s Doctor Who web pages.

The webisode, which runs under two minutes, features the White House and introduces the monster(s) the Doctor, Amy, and Rory will be facing when they land in America. So now courtesy of BBC/BBC America, here is the webisode for your viewing pleasure.

This webisode is the first in three planned to run throughout the season and since the clips will be made available for American audiences, U.S. Who fans do not have to worry about being left out of extra content from the series. However, it is still up in the air whether or not those the next two webisodes will air during this block of episodes or if they will carry over into the Fall block of episodes.

The BBC didn’t stop there in blessing us with tidings of great Who joy. The network also released the latest ‘iconic’ image for the show that will most definitely be downloaded on to the computers of millions of viewers. The image displays the Doctor, Amy, and Rory’s reflections on the helmet of a U.S. astronaut. We’re calling now that this might be this season’s DVD cover as well.

Here’s the photo for your consumption:
