American Horror Story & Homeland
I'm not going to lie, I haven't watched either one of these shows. And I had to admit that because I don't want commenters screaming "what about Homeland and/or American Horror Story? Why didn't they make your list?!" I deeply regret not have yet watched Homeland, although I have to say I'm still kind of ambivalent towards American Horror Story because it's just not my cup of tea. But I can appreciate the audience's love for both of these shows and will add them to this list with a commitment to watch them.

Did my favorite new shows of 2011 make the list? Yeah, they did ;) Person of Interest is also pretty good (not great, but still) and should be on the list, but besides that I agree on everything you said.
Great list. Revenge is so addicting and once upon a time is just really story driven.love both shows. The only one that didn’t make your list is the new USA show Suits. Just curious if you thought this show sucked or you just didn’t remember it
I had high hopes for this TV season, and actually it didn't disappoint. I've added a few new favorites to my list, which pushed aside other shows that had began to disappoint. My new favorites of 2011 are (in no particular order): Revenge, Hart of Dixie, Once Upon a Time, Person of Interest, The Secret Circle, Falling Skies, Franklin & Bash, and Teen Wolf. In comparison, last year only provided five new shows that I watched and two of those I've stopped watching this year.
You can skip American Horror Story. Definitely watch Homeland.
