gabrielle-union-bv-newswire-400a022206In our interview last week with David Goyer and Dominic Monaghan, Goyer mentioned that they'd planned to introduce several more regular characters in the show after the first episode or two.  Dominic Monaghan was the first such announcement, and now ABC has released the second via press release today.  Gabrielle Union (Bring it On, Bad Boys II) will star in a recurring role on FlashForward this fall as Zoey.  Her character will be a criminal defense attorney and will have a romantic arc on the show.

"We're thrilled that Gabrielle is joining our cast," said executive producer David S. Goyer. "When we met with her, we immediately knew she was our Zoey. She's witty, soulful and beautiful. I've been wanting to work with her for a long time."

Gabrielle Union is certainly not new to television.  She began her acting career on the series Moesha and also had recurring roles on Sister, Sister and 7th Heaven and joined the cast of Steven Bochco's City of Angels for one season.  She's guest starred on such shows as ER, Dave's World, The Steve Harvey Show and Friends (as both Ross and Joey's love interest).

FlashForward stars Joseph Fiennes as Mark Benford, John Cho as Demetri Noh, Jack Davenport as Lloyd Simcoe, Zachary Knighton as Bryce Varley, Peyton List as Nicole, Dominic Monaghan as Simon, Bran F. O'Byrne as Aaron Stark, Courtney B. Vance as Stan Wedeck, Sonya Walger as Olivia Benford and Christine Woods as Janis Hawk.  It premieres on ABC on Thursday, September 24.

    Wow, its crazy.nbsp; Every day I get more and more excited about this show.nbsp; I can't believe the talent they've got on there.nbsp; Hearing Goyer talk about the show at Comic Con and seeing their committment in the launching of a official website is inspiring.nbsp; I just wish people would stop comparing this show to Lost.nbsp; Its something special, but so different.

    Exactly.nbsp; I mean, I'm not a lost fan but I'll be watching flash forward.nbsp; I think comparing it lost all the time will push away viewers who don't like lost, and in this big world of several billion people there are quite a few of us

    Wait, what?nbsp; You people don't like Lost?nbsp; What's wrong with you!!nbsp;

    I'm kidding.nbsp; Actually, from what I've heard from people who have seen bits and pieces of FF, although it may have some similarities, comparing it to Lost is really a discredit to what the show really is.nbsp; Obviously there will be people that love it, and people that hate it, but I agree that it has to be its own show.
