Today at a press conference preceding its Upfront presentations to advertisers, Fox released its fall schedule, and as predicted, there were few surprises. Fox's focus for the fall seems to hinge on the success of So You Think You Can Dance, which they will utilize as a lead-in for their new show Glee, a show that been gathering excitement amongst the net's executives. Also moving is sophmore show, Fringe, and in one of the biggest surprises, Dollhouse stays on Friday nights! Granted, the show getting a renewal at all was a little bit of a surprise (considering its ratings), but the rumor mill had said that if Fox did renew Dollhouse, they'd most likely try it out on a new night, to see if it had any potential at all. Another slightly shocking move, Fox decided to hold off on freshmen shows Human Target and Past Life until midseason, both shows have been much hyped lately.
Also confirmed this past weekend was the renewal of Bones, for not just one more season, but for two! The crutch of the negotiations centered around the licensing fee for the show, and 20th Century Fox studios went so far as to contact other networks about taking the show in order to guage Bone's fair market value. But in the end business was business and the show that gave Fox a pulse again on Thursday nights was renewed, and will now be the lead-in for Fringe.
Without further ado, here is the Fall and Winter Schedules released by Fox
