Running Wilde might have it's days numbered.
The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed has just announced that FOX has ordered a new comedy for midseason starring Christian Slater. No word has been officially given on whether or not the new show will replace Running Wilde on the midseason schedule, but given the shows ratings and critical beatdown, Mr. James Hibberd's assumption could be right on the money.
The midseason show is called "Breaking In" and stars Slater and Brett Harrison. The premise, which revolves around a group of top security experts, has been described as a combination of Leverage and The A-Team. The show is produced by Sony Pictures TV.
Both Slater and Harrison's last projects were given the axe, albeit Harrison's Reaper managed to get two full seasons on The CW. Slater's My Own Worst Enemy, which aired on NBC, didn't make it to a 13 episode order and succumbed at episode nine. Update: We completely forgot about Slater's recent recent project, ABC's The Forgotten, which also was cancelled after one season. Thanks for the heads up to reader Sciurus for pointing that out.
Let's hope that these two have a successful series on their hand.

Isn't "The Forgotten" Slater's latest project before this one? Not that it changes any point made in the article, as that one also got cancelled after 1 season (but at least got an ending episode)
You are correct. "The Forgotten" was Slater's latest project, but not trying to be funny, I completely forgot about it even existing. That's great it got a decent ending, though.
