Keri Russell in Running Wilde
Who is she: Remember earlier when I said that J.J. Abrams loved discovering (or at least making popular) new hot and talented actresses? Keri Russell may just be the first star he discovered. She played Felicity Porter in the series bearing her name for four years, and set off a television firestorm by simply cutting her hair. Since then she has gone on to star in several movies and guest star in a lot of TV shows (anyone remember her part on Scrubs?)
She makes her grand return to television on Fox's future comedy hit Running Wilde opposite the very hilarious Will Arnett.
What's the show about: Running Wilde is a new romantic comedy about immature and filthy rich playboy Steven Wilde (Will Arnett) who's used to getting anything and everything he wants. That is everything except his childhood sweetheart Emmy Kadubic (Keri Russell), the uber-liberal humanitarian who got away. Now Wilde is determined to win (or buy) the heart of his one love.
Why you should watch it: If Keri Russell's beauty, humor, and hair (yes I said it!) aren't enough to pull you in, how about the fact that show is produced by the same people who brought Arrested Development to Fox? That and the always funny antics of Will Arnett, along with fellow Arrested Development star David Cross, equals hands down humor.
Running Wilde premieres on FOX on September 21 at 9:30pm ET.
