When the weather pushed the World Series' Game 7 to Friday night, CBS decided to air reruns so their shows didn't have to compete with baseball. NBC didn't decide to do the same.
Last night, Chuck returned for its fifth and final season to come disappointing ratings, unfortunately. The new NBC show Grimm premiered to stronger ratings, but it's unclear how well it will fare will new episodes of Fringe return next Friday, coupled with Supernatural competing with Grimm for the 9:00 p.m. spot.
Here's the ratings breakdown for last night:
8:00 p.m.
ABC: "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (4.1 million viwers, 2.8/5)
CBS: "A Gifted Man" rerun (5.8 million, 3.8/5)

18-49 leader: World Series (7.7)
"Chuck" and "Grimm" couldn't beat the CBS reruns? Things are not looking good for them next Friday. They won't be able to blame the WS next week.
The Chuck ratings really don't matter as it's been decided there will be no more episodes. I'm just called it made it this far with the opportunity for a good wrap-up storyline.
