Fringe Photos: Episode 4.01 "Neither Here Nor There"

We're just short of two weeks away from the fourth season premiere of Fringe, an episode titled "Neither Here Nor There." If you'll remember, season three left the series in a very interesting place: a bridge had been built between the two universes, and its architect, Peter Bishop, had suddenly been erased from existence.

Here's where the press release for "Neither Here Nor There" says we'll pick back up: "Just one week after Peter Bishop saved the day and was then wiped from existence, the truce between the two worlds remains intact and the two sides are forced to work together. Lincoln Lee joins the Fringe team as they investigate a shapeshifter case that is very personal to him."

The promotional photos released for the episode show an expanded role for Agent Lincoln Lee (Seth Gabel), who looks like he'll be working alongside our universe's Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv). Meanwhile, Walter Bishop (John Noble) looks like he's unknowingly been affected by his son's disappearance. His newly developed agoraphobia has forced Agent Astrid Farnsworth (Jasika Nicole) to wear a special camera to investigate crime scenes in lieu of Walter actually going to the scenes himself.

Fringe will air Friday, September 23, with the season 4 premiere episode "Neither Here Nor There" at 9/8c on FOX.
