Ladies and Gentlemen, and fans of The Game, we are about to enter overtime with the San Diego Sabres and the women who love them.
BET gave their upfronts today and on the docket for this fall were new original episodes of the previously cancelled CW show, which was a spinoff of the successful sitcom, Girlfriends. The Game ran in syndication on BET after it was cancelled following the 2008-2009 TV season. It found newfound success on the cable network as well as a newfound fanbase, which boosted the channel's ratings to record highs in repeats alone. Reports surfaced earlier this month about the producers and cast of the show meeting for contract negotiations with BET to produce and air new episodes since the original cast members' contracts expired last summer.
Created by Mara Akil Brock and produced by Kelsey Grammer and Salim Akil, The Game will rise from the ashes and live to see another day this fall on BET.
Other shows acquired by BET include Let's Stay Together (premieres in 2011), a sitcom that stars Melinda Williams, Bert Belasco, Joyful Drake, RonReaco Lee and Erica Hubbard about two sisters and the complications that are thrown their way when they prepare to leave the single life behind; The Kennedys (Fall 2010), a reality show that follows the life of skateboarder Terry Kennedy; and an elimination dance competition from the mind of Laurieann Gibson, from Making The Band fame that will premiere in 2011.

Awesome!!! Now I hope they get back to the "lighter" side of things. The last season was so dark and negative most of the time. Soooo glad it's coming back. I want Jason and Kelly back together!
