J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon Team Up for Comic-Con

The must see panel for this year’s Comic-Con has been announced. Comic-Con organizers announced today that pop culture creator icons J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon will be teaming up for the "Entertainment Weekly: The Visionaries" panels. The dynamic duo, who have not worked together in a substantial way… yet, are expected to discuss trends affecting pop culture, particularly how we receive our entertainment.

Presumably the duo will make some reference to their individual slates. For Abrams, it is the upcoming Star Trek sequel as well as numerous televised productions including The Undercovers, and for Whedon it is the horror film Cabin In the Woods and the upcoming superhero team-up The Avengers.

The panel kicks off July 22nd, at 3:30pm and will be moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s pop culture guru Jeff “Doc” Jensen. Here are the official details from the Comic-Con website.
