Jack Bender's New Project: Alphas

Have you been wondering what Jack Bender's next project would be now that "LOST" is over? The pilot will be shooting soon, and The Hollywood Reporter has the details:

NBC is to shoot its Syfy action-adventure pilot "Alphas" in Toronto.

The 90-minute pilot, executive produced by Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun for BermanBraun Television, will shoot at the Cinespace Film Studios facility.

The pilot is the third NBC project currently in Toronto as the rookie season of "Covert Affairs" and the second season of "Warehouse 13" shoot locally through August.

The Syfy pilot has Jack Bender ("Lost") as director and executive producer, working off a script from writers Zak Penn ("X-Men: The Last Stand") and Michael Karnow ("Lost").

"Alphas" portrays a team of ordinary people with superior mental skills that take the law into their own hands.

Does Bender's superb work on "LOST" have you excited for this new show?

That sounds a bit like a cross between Heroes and Leverage to me.Geez, for all the shooting SyFy is doing in TO, you'd think we could actually get that station up here, and not have to wait 6 months for SPACE to start airing their series.

Sounds like an interesting premise. If Jack Bender is that involved I'll definitely give it a shot. I'm aching for something to fill my Lost and BSG voids.
