Some deserving nominees were inducted into the TV Hall of Fame this week, including Jay Leno, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Rupert Murdoch and more. Leno has just wrapped up a long and tumultuous run as the host of The Tonight Show, but no one can deny that he deserves a place in TV history like this.

Bill Maher introduced the host:

“Jay Leno reminds me a little bit of Israel,” Maher said. “He’s not perfect, but he’s held to a standard nobody is expected to live up to but him.”

Louis-Dreyfus has been a part of TV history for a long while now from Seinfeld to The New Adventures of Old Christine and now Veep. She’s unstoppable, and certainly one of the funniest people on TV whenever she’s starring in a show. She had the good fortune of being introduced by Amy Poehler who said she was “the best one on’Seinfeld.”

There are quite a few great pictures from the induction event arrivals that you should check out here at our sister site. Who do you think should be inducted next year?
