There’s going to be a Seinfeld reunion.
In one form or another, that is.
As seen in the picture above, both Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander were spotted at the famed Tom’s Restaurant the other day, causing wild speculation about what they might be doing there. Running theories include that Seinfeld was shooting an episode of his web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” but the tidbit that they met Larry David inside would seem to indicate something else.
TMZ believes that the Seinfeld reunion is for an upcoming Super Bowl commercial. I can see that making sense, though I’m not quite sure what product they would be selling with such a collaboration. It’s sort of hard to envision either David or Seinfeld using the show to sell a product, and both have more money than God, but perhaps if the idea was funny enough, they figured it would be worthwhile.
The last time such a reunion took place was on Larry David’s show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, but that had Kramer (Michael Richards) and Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) appearing as well. I wonder if the two of them might secretly be coming back for whatever this is as well, but there’s no information to that effect as of yet.
So, what do you make of the mini-reunion here? Do you think it’s an episode of Jerry’s show, a commercial shoot, or something else entirely? Sound off in the comments.
