Jimmy Fallon and Bruce Springsteen Mock Governor Chris Christie’s Fort Lee New Jersey Traffic Jam

If you’ve been living under a rock, you may have missed the world’s stupidest political scandal over the past few weeks. Republican Governor Chris Christie’s Fort Lee New Jersey traffic jam has been the talk of the town, as his aides allegedly conspired to cause a traffic build-up on the bridge as political retribution for….something. What exactly that something is isn’t quite clear yet. In the scope of political scandals it’s pretty mild, but as Christie is a big 2016 presidential contender for the Republicans, it’s been made into a big deal. “How can this guy hire people who would do this? How would he not know?” Stuff like that.

Anyway, the whole thing is sort of hilarious, so naturally it was ripe for parody by Jimmy Fallon, and special guest Bruce Springsteen.  The two collaborated on an altered cover of “Born to Run” where they mocked the Governor for his woes, and it packs a particular punch given Springsteen’s weight in New Jersey. And well, everywhere. He’s Bruce Springsteen for crying out loud. The result is expectedly hilarious, and you should check it out in the video above. Also, here’s a refresher that this isn’t the first time these two have collaborated.

Do you think this will have long term effects on Christie’s political aspirations? Do you care?
