If you don't know who Joel McHale is, then you're truly missing out on one of the more talented people on television today. If you've watched The Soup on E!, the show that McHale is the host of, you'd realize that while Jay Leno has the power to thrust NBC into total darkness, Joel McHale has the power, almost single-handedly to make them great again. Okay, that might be a little overly dramatic, but let's just say the guy is talented, funny, and has a great supporting cast on the new series Community, which premieres on NBC Thursday, September 17 and will air after The Office. And if Community can score big with laugh-deprived viewers they'll boast one of the best Thursday night comedy lineups since Friends and Seinfeld left the air.
Just in case you're not that familiar with McHale, NBC has provided a nice little video that you can get to know him with, as well as learn a little more about the show. A show that McHale describes as "...a throbbing, pus-filled comedy sore that is constantly oozing." Now that's a description that not just anyone could deliver, and one that certainly paints an interesting picture. Take a look and let us know what YOU think, but this one is definitely on our MUST SEE list for 2009.
And now a few words from the rest of the cast, as well as Joel, again.

We at http://communitynbc.com/ can't wait for the show to air!
