perezhiltonIf you weren't paying close attention to the twitterverse yesterday you may have missed the drama over an off-air feud between celebrity blogger and fame-whore Perez Hilton and the KTLA morning news team.  The story is that Hilton, who runs the popular blog www.perezhilton.com, was scheduled to be on the morning news show to promote his new book.  According to the KTLA news team he requested to be on the show, but then showed up prior to his scheduled time slot (an hour and twenty minutes before his scheduled time slot).  He then demanded to go on in front of other scheduled guests (who were there on time) because he had to get back to writing his blog for the day.  They offered him the use of one of the anchor's "luxury offices" and he still refused and abandoned the appearance.

Later, Perez Hilton tweeted a different version of what happened and demanded an apology and retraction from KTLA for the incident.  But KTLA news anchor Sam Rubin wasn't going to let Hilton have his way, and proceeded to slam him on the morning news show about the events that had unfolded.  He actually says,

"Perez said we lied about what happened here, and he demanded a retraction...Well demand this you talentless dope..."

And later in his rant about Hilton he says my favorite line,

"The KTLA news and yours truely have been here long before Perez Hilton up-chucked his way onto the scene and we'll be here long after he slithers away."

I love it!  Of course, Perez Hilton thrives on this kind of publicity and is no doubt enjoying the hell out of this, but it's still worth watching the video for yourself below.
