KTLA Local News Anchors React to This Morning’s California Earthquake

A 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit California this morning which may sound terrifying, but it was relatively minor. In fact, as Neil DeGrasse Tyson reminded me on Twitter, that magnitude of quake actually happens all around the world 10,000 times a year.

Still, that doesn’t make it less terrifying for those few seconds that it happens, especially in a crowded area in LA. A video is circulating today that shows two local news anchors reacting to the quake as it happens in real time. The male anchor’s reaction in particular is priceless right before the two dive under the table. Dude looks like he’s just seen a ghost.

Watch above for yourself, and hopefully everyone out there remained safe for the duration.
