Finally!
The cast for the latest branch of NBC's Law & Order franchise has been locked with filming to begin Monday. The show will rotate Deputy District Attorneys to help assist the main detectives in the show. This practice was used with the detectives of Law & Order: Criminal Intent until its ninth season when Jeff Goldbum joined the show and episodes focused solely on his and Saffron Burrows characters.
The new inductees into the Law & Order Hall of Fame include: Senior Det. John Winters (Skeet Ulrich), Junior Det. Tomas "TJ" Jaruszalski (Corey Stoll), Captain Arlene Gonzales (Wanda de Jesus), Deputy District Attorney Peter Morales (Alfred Molina), Deputy District Attorney Joe Dekker (Terrence Howard), and Assistant District Attorney Eva Price (Regina Hall).
With a cast like this, you can't go wrong. Right? Let's hope so.
Law & Order: Los Angeles (LOLA) will premiere on September 29th @ 10pm/9c, following the ultra popular Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
I'm not particularly impressed with this cast actually. Skeet Ulrich was pretty good in Jericho but I'm not sure how he'll do on a Law & Order. Regina Hall has been wasted in her last few roles and I hope that doesn't happen here. And I'd like to see how Terrence Howard adjusts from films. But while those are all not bad, I don't see anyone that really honestly excites me. I still miss the ensemble from Law & Order Classic, which I loved completely and totally. I didn't see a weak link in that cast.
I agree with the old Law & Order cast dynamic. No matter who they put in there to replace someone, there was always magic.
I was not going too watch this show, but the cast is just awesome.I think (Regina Hall) & (Skeet Ulrich) could have some good chemistry. I thinkthey got the actors mix up Senior Det . John Winters & Junior Det. Tomas "TJ" Jaruszalski .

Peter Coyote joined as District Attorney Jerry Hardin and Wanda De Jesus was replace by Rachel Ticotin.
