Letterman Responds to Palin Jokes (Video)

Letterman responds to Palin JokesDavid Letterman responded last night on his Late Show to the jokes he made earlier this week about Governor Sarah Palin and her daughter by saying at one point, "Do I regret telling these jokes, yes.  But there are thousands and thousands of jokes that I regret telling on this show over the years."

Letterman goes on to admit that the jokes were indeed tasteless, though that's sort of the point, isn't it?  But he makes it very clear that he was not referring to Palin's 14 year old daughter in the jokes, but instead to her 18 year old daughter Bristol.

I feel the need to go on record here and just say that I don't care for Palin at all, in fact, she scares the hell out of me.  And despite all of the many things she has going against her, she still manages to chalk up another negative in my book, she obviously has absolutely no sense of humor whatsoever.  Her entire soapbox of late involves attacking the media that she blames for the Republican's loss of the presidential election and crying "bad journalism" at every negative piece of anything she hears on tv.  Well Gov. Palin, this is what most of us American's refer to as jokes.  You see, jokes are supposed to  be funny.  Granted, with Dave they're only funny about 30% of the time, but that's still the intent.  Now, I understand that Gov. Palin and her husband thought Dave was referring to their 14 year old daughter, and in that case I can understand some of their anger.  But Dave also made this joke on his top 10 list, saying "Bought makeup at Bloomingdales to update her slutty flight attendant look."  To this Dave responds with, "The only thing I can say about this is...I kinda like that joke."  So do I Dave....so do I.  Check out the clip from last night's Late Show with David Letterman for yourself below.

Politicians are masters at spinning the facts. I guess they are tired of Letterman's joke and they are twitching a joke to make it sound horrible. I'm not sure who will believe Sarah Palin's version. Is amazing to see to what extremes some people go for revenge.

Letterman's comments just weren't funny. They were mean and hurtful and rude. When I'm in the mood for mean, hurtful and rude, I'll know who to watch.
