Live Coverage: The Complete List of 2014 Oscar Nominees

The 2014 Oscar nominations were announced today, and now the stage is set for the glitzy show on March 2nd. Many of the 2014 Oscar nominees have been heralded before in various award shows from the SAG Awards to the Golden Globes, yet every year it’s the coveted Oscar that can change one’s career.

Finally, Leonardo DiCaprio got a nod on Wolf of Wall Street which got a best picture nominee. Will he finally break through and win? The funny thing is, if he does win it clearly won’t be for his best performance in a movie. Anyone remember “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?” He was amazing in that.

I have a strong feeling that 12 years as a Slave is going to clean up this year. It’s just the kind of film that the academy will want to push. They tend to focus more on the serious movies with a strong message. Not that that’s a bad thing. The movie was incredibly good so it deserves any awards coming to it. Anyway, check out the full list below and see what you think has been properly appreciated or thoroughly snubbed.
