LOST Spoiler — New Big Bad for S6

E! Online’s Kristin dos Santos has recently been hosting a “Twelve Days of LOST-mas” through her site, Watch with Kristin, in which she shares spoilers for the upcoming sixth and final season of LOST. Already she has shared about character deaths and triumphant returns, and she’s also shared about something else: the big bad guy of season six.

“There’s a new Baddie on Lost who will make Ben Linus look more like the wimpy Peanuts character with whom he shares a name,” dos Santos divulged on Christmas Eve. She then proceeded to list characteristics of the big bad (she claimed there were three true traits, but she listed four). These traits were censored by asterisks, for readers to hypothesize and fill in the blanks for:

He:
Killed **h*.
Killed ***o*.
Is *h* **o** *****e*.
Wants to “g* **m*.

Readers at the LOST spoiler site DarkUFO have already unleashed several wonderful theories about the letters that fill in the asterisks. The most common theory is that the clues are: “Killed John, Killed Jacob, Is the smoke monster, wants to go home.” However, the first two, if correct, would point to Ben, who Kristin ruled out above. Smoke monster victims “Echo” (Eko) and “Pilot” have also been filled in by fans trying to make smoke monster fit.

However, I think that the first possible answer may be correct if you don’t look at the answers literally. I believe that the man in black, Jacob’s nemesis, is the smoke monster (for a variety of complex reasons). If this is taken to consideration, then the smoke monster metaphorically killed John by taking over his identity (though Ben actually did the deed), and killed Jacob by persuading Ben to actually do the deed.

However, if “wants to go home” is correct, this is very interesting indeed. Where would the smoke monsters’ home be?
