Why You Need To Watch Rick and Morty Tonight

We can honestly tell you that Rick and Morty, the new show from Community creator Dan Harmon and Adventure Time actor, Justin Roiland, is hilarious. We got to sit down and watch a few episodes a little early, and the show is just genuinely insane and constantly hilarious. Which is a real relief to us, really. It debuts tonight at 10:30 on Adult Swim, and you really need to see it to believe it. From science fiction to family dynamics, nothing is safe on this show, and we mean that in the best way possible.

Rick and Morty is about a wacky old scientist who comes to live with his daughter, and ends up using her son Morty as his co-adventurer. The thing is, Rick is a “mad scientist” who is constantly tearing open worm holes and tends to like to take a drink now and then. Add to that the fact that Morty is only a child and always on the verge of a panic attack, and you have a premise for a show that can honestly not fail. There is also an apparent love for pop culture and all things sci-fi, and this will be obvious to anyone who watches even five minutes of this show. Jokes and references fly a mile-a-minute (what else would you expect from Dan Harmon?) and it is a real trip.

Just make sure you buckle in and keep a barf bag nearby. Things get pretty insane, pretty quickly.
