prison-breakIt seems that writing duo Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora, the pair that brought us Prison Break for four season on Fox, are back at the studio producing yet another drama that will involve ex-fugitives and even has the word "Break" in the title (who said anything on television is original anyway).

Break Out Kings will revolve around ex-fugitives who are recruited to work as U.S. Marshals.  The cases will take them across the country to different locations, but their base of operations will be New York.

Break Out Kings has been given a script order by Fox, and a hefty penalty has been attached if Fox doesn't end up taking the series to pilot.  While Olmstead and Santora penned the pilot, Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) has been tapped to executive produce and direct, should Fox decide to order the series to pilot.
