Real Housewives: Is ‘Miami’ the Latest City In The Franchise?

Well, if Bravo keep this up then we might as well have a 24/7 Real Housewives Channel, which I would so watch…

According to E! Online, Bravo has been secretly filming the Real Housewives of Miami under the moniker Miami Social Club with filming recently commencing on the show. The show is aiming to premiere between November and January. If this is true, that would make RHOM air alongside the veteran Real Housewives of Atlanta and newbie Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo’s schedule. To some that might be overkill, but to me, that is simply heaven. Maybe Tuesday could be a potential timeslot?

Miami Social Club was announced with other shows on Bravo’s production slate earlier this year, but Miami locals started to talk about the show actually being the potential latest installment in the ever growing Real Housewives franchise instead. However, E! Online’s source reveals that Miami Social Club was actually not a ploy of Bravo’s to throw the scent off the latest Housewives show being filmed. It was “originally shot to be a different show, but they have decided to make it a part of the Housewives franchise,” the source told E!

So what does this mean? Well, since Miami Social Club was going for a different vibe than Real Housewives, it means low key drama, which E!’s source has labeled “a tamer, sexier show.” In other words, The Real Housewives of D.C. with a sexier cast.

Speaking of casting, who is participating in this potential Real Housewives entry? Well according to E!, names like editor of Venue Magazine Alexia Echeverria to Larisa Pippin (Scottie Pippen’s wife) has been thrown around, with a lot of others in tow. Bravo, as usual, has not put out a formal announcement yet, telling E! that they only have Miami Social Club in production and no other info on the subject. Uh huh.

So will you tune into the drama of South Beach when the Real Housewives of Miami premieres?
