Need your American Idol fix again?  Has it been a long, long time since last May?  Well have no fear, because FOX has released its midseason schedule and we have all the juicy details for when some of your old favorites will be returning, when the winter hiatus will end and when midseason shows will finally premiere.

American Idol will premiere with a two-night episode on Tuesday, January 12 and Wednesday, January 13.

Human Target (a midseason show) will premiere on Wednesday, January 20 (but will “preview” on Sunday, January 17 – whatever that means).

24 will premiere on Sunday, January 17 with a two-hour episode and will follow that up with another two-hour episode on Monday, January 18 (view cast & episode photos from the season 8 premiere).

The Simpsons will have a special 20th anniversary episode (a documentary about the show) on Sunday, January 10, which will follow its landmark 450th episode.

Kitchen Nightmares will return on Friday, January 29.

Past Life (another midseason show) will premiere on Thursday, February 11.

Glee will be ending for this year on Wednesday, December 9, but will return with all new episodes on Tuesday, April 13.  So it’s moving to Tuesdays after American Idol in the spring.  Such a long time to wait for more Glee!!

Dollhouse will end its series run on January 22 (see here for the schedule for all remaining episodes).

Fringe will end on Thursday, February 4 and will go on a 7 week hiatus until Thursday, April 1.

Bones will air its Christmas episode on Thursday, December 10 and will be on hiatus until Thursday, January 14.
