The single camera comedy starring Christina Applegate has been canceled today by ABC. The series was hoping, and expected, to grab a third season by the alphabet network, but simply couldn't cut its costs enough to be a viable solution. The cancelation is mostly due to the large number of new series ABC will be launching next season, as well as the poor ratings Samantha Who has tallied up this season, after being moved to Thursday nights an pre-empted more than once.
News broke last week that they were considering changing the format of the show to a multi-camera show in order to cut costs up to $500,000 per episode, however after ABC began to announce it's fall plans it began to make less and less sense to go through the trouble.

BOOO! I liked this one! I think I'm going to stop watching tv until my shows come out on DVD. I'm sick of getting vested into something and bloop! It disappears.
