Season Finale Calendar

It's almost that time of the year again, my fellow TV fans. I know it's sad and, if you're like me, after May you will feel a little lost without your favorite shows. But let's not despair. It may be hard that the characters you love so much will be gone for four entire months - and in some cases, a lot longer than that - but let's not forget that with the end of the season approaching, we are in for quite a ride.

The May sweeps usually deliver the most powerful episodes of the season, specifically designed to make you want to come back for more in the Fall.

So at least we can hold on to that. Now, get ready to mark your calendars.

Is it just me or this is going to be a very long summer hiatus?

I've always hated finale season because the between-season filler shows are always so depressingly bad.

  2. Kate says:

Here is my issue – I hate the hiatuses! I think when they are all returning and such is important too! Grey's returned last week (Yey) and this week was another rerun! Even Vampire Diaries returned to low numbers probably because nobody knows what is on anymore. You lose the audience because they find other things to watch in the meantime. Keep up the momentum – do ONE hiatus and then finish up with our reruns…Argh!

I agree with you Kate. I much prefer the way the British do their programing overseas. Minimal commercial interruption, longer episodes, fewer episodes per season which means less filler and better episodes overall, and NO REPEATS! At least, not during the season anyway.

On a side note, where is the finale listing for The Vampire Diaries?

  4. There are some interesting points in time in this article but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well
