Shark Week is pretty awesome, huh? It is crazy the phenomenon it has become, but it is an undeniably good time for all (except seals) and every time it airs, you seem to walk away from it with a new appreciation for (and fear of) the sharks themselves. Well, we got some good news for fans of shark week. In other words, good news for all of you. Shark Week 2014 has an official date, and along with it, the chance that we could find out about some glow-in-the-dark sharks. I mean, come on? How cool is that?
So Discovery announced that Shark Week 2014 will be kicking off August 10th of this year. It also has some pretty juicy teasers about some new breeds of shark we may not know about. Including one breed that may have the ability to glow-in-the-dark. We are already gonna call it. It glows in the dark because of tiny plankton, or something. Eh, who knows, but that is kinda cool. Also, if sharks glowed in the dark, that would make night swimming in the ocean far less daunting. So in that sense, I am all about glow-in-the-dark sharks. Just saying.
Outside of that, they have a few surprises up their sleeves. Here’s hoping they bring back Tara Reid to host some weird talk show-esque thing about imaginary shark breeds. Man, that thing was an awesome train wreck to witness. Anyway, Shark Week 2014 is only three months away, so you better make sure you get a bigger boat in the mean time.
That was a Jaws reference, in case you missed it. Very timely stuff. It is why I am so good at this.
