I have to agree with the writers on this issue. It's really unfair to cut the categories for comedy writing and drama writing. The writers really are the ones who come up with the stories. The actors, directors and producers just bring the vision ofnbsp;said stories to life. If the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences can't get that through their heads, then the Emmys are just not worth watching.

Doc, I agree that the behind-the-camera people aren't as exciting to watch when they get their rewards, but I still want to see them recognized on the live show.nbsp; Especially the writers.nbsp; There are some amazing shows that make you say, "Damn, that was good".nbsp; The actors can only work with what they are given.nbsp; Quality shows stick out and I think that the people who make them happen should get their time in the spotlight.nbsp;

Personally, I just think that the writers are a bunch whiny little girls.nbsp; Sure, they do deserve recognition for their hard work, and the writers strike is proof that Hollywood can't continue without them.nbsp; But writers aren't actors and when they're on screen, they're BORING!!! I really just have no desire whatsoever to watch them get their awards.nbsp; In fact, I'd be perfectly happy if every awards show only televised the "real" stars getting their awards.nbsp; Leave all the other stuff for the people attending and shorten these shows down to about an hour.
