What's that you say?  Star Trek is movie news, not TV news?  I disagree - Star Trek is very much television news, even if it is gracing the big screen.  One of television's most enduring and successful franchises, Star Trek, gets the reboot treatment this month at the hands of J.J. Abrams (Alias, LOST, Fringe).

Early reviews of Star Trek paint the film as a return to edge of your seat, escapist entertainment that services the legacy of Star Trek with absolute respect; and it better, or the legions of Trekkies, Trekkers, and what not, will no doubt be asking for Abrams, Orci, and Kurtzman's heads.   All that tomfoolery aside, here are six clips from Star Trek to help get you in the mood, including ample doses of classic Star Trek characters Spock, Kirk, Uhura, Dr. McCoy, Scotty, Sulu, and a bunch of Romulans that look like they've had too much ale.  Star Trek hits theaters at warp speed on May 8th.
