It seems like in the last few years the idea of horror shows has become increasingly popular across networks and cable. From The Walking Dead to American Horror Story to Hannibal to Bates Motel, horror shows are bringing in the viewers. ABC is counting on this, as it just ordered a pilot for a new show with supernatural elements called Clementine from script writer Dean Georgaris (above, right), who has written such films as 2004’s remake of The Manchurian Candidate.
TV Line broke the story, but we will tell you the good parts. Clementine is about a girl who begins to look into her past when a group with nefarious intentions makes it clear that she may possess some real supernatural abilities which she can use for good or evil. So this title character, Clementine, is some kind of powerful force, but she is unsure what side of the fence she falls on. We will join Clementine in her journey of self-discovery as her powers slowly reveal themselves to her and those around her. Truth is, it sounds like a very cool idea for a show. With the talent involved behind-the-scenes, we can’t help but get a little excited for Clementine.
No further news is known yet about this ABC pilot, but stay tuned to TVOvermind for more details.
