Terry Crews May Host Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

Terry Crews is a movie, TV and advertising star, but now he might shift into another role, game show host. Crews is reportedly in final stage talks to take over the hosting duties of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire from the departing Cedric the Entertainer.

Cedric was only a host for one season, and expressed his interest to leave quite vocally. Crews is being recruited to fill his shoes, though I’m not quite sure how I feel about that. Crews, real life superhero, seems poised to see his star shoot into the stratosphere as of late. He’s great on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, has outshined his A-list co-stars in The Expendables, and it seems like anything is possible for the actor.

But hosting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? A) I didn’t know that show had even been brought back to life and B) it almost seems like a step back for him.

Maybe he can do both. I imagine reading questions off a card and asking people if something is their final answer can’t be too terribly time consuming. Maybe he can do that job and be a huge film and TV star, but it does seem like kind of an offshooting path, no?
