Jimmy is one of the funniest comics in America. If I had to choose one show to watch of the five late night talk shows, I would definitely pick Jimmy Kimmel Live. Conan blows, Fallon is an idiot, Leno and Letterman are getting old and tired. I PVR Kimmel and Craig Ferguson every night, seldom bothering with the others unless they really have a guest I want to watch. A lot of people don't get his humour, but he can poke fun at himself and others in a very sharp (and sometimes subversive) fashion. I hope ABC understands what a gem they have in JK.
PS. Jimmy does the best guest introductions of any host on TV.

First off, he's reading cue cards or a teleprompter. I doubt they would have gone unnoticed by some suit.

Second, why was he allowed to say "bulls**t" but they later bleeped out "s**t"?

Third, he seemed to stumble over a few punchlines. Needs to work more on delivery.

Fourth, it never sounded like a disgruntled rant.

More unfunny than offensive. Probably too much of it fell on dead silence, but nothing that notable.

Seriously? What was the problem with that. Sarcasm is lost on so many. That was great.

THAT'S IT?! That's what got, well...ANYone...in a tizzy?! That's an example of "telling it like it is", and it's nothing people don't already know (but can still find funny). People in this day and age are entirely too sensitive to anything even remotely acerbic; we all need to lighten the hell up.
I'm not one to find current event jokes funny most of the time, but the probation officer one got me to shoot soda out of my nose.

You have to be kidding me... People think that's a "rant"? That's a well-written comedy routine written for a very specific audience. The routine wouldn't work outside that room because he's referencing things specific to that crowd and what they do. Watch Jay Leno on his own show any night of the week and you'll see him making fun of NBC in exactly the same way. And I'm pretty sure the only time he doesn't get a laugh is for the joke about a character death on one of the shows...
