The personal journey of former addict Warren Boyd inspired the hit A&E drama series, "The Cleaner" about a man who uses unconventional and extreme measures to help people into recovery programs. A&E announced today, that for the first time ever, Warren Boyd will allow cameras inside his highly secretive and extreme intervention treatments in a one-hour documentary special titled "Extreme Interventionist: The Man Behind The Cleaner."
The one-hour documentary will look at Boyd's personal battle with addiction, and his recovery and dedication to helping others. Eighteen years sober himself, the special details how he manages sober living facilities and safe houses with a team of highly skilled private investigators who also act as counselors helping addicts replace the damaging addictions that are ruling their lives. Viewers will also get to see Boyd directly inspire Benjamin Bratt's character and brings his experiece to add credible authenticity to the A&E series which he is also a co-executive producer for.
The documentary special will be narrated by Meredith Vieira and premieres on Tuesday, August 11 at 11 PM ET/PT.
