The Top Ways to Stream the 2017 Presidential Inauguration

After a completely unexpected victory in the presidential race, Donald Trump seems unstoppable. And on January 20th, the most controversial presidential candidate in the history of the United States will be sworn in as president. What happens next is anybody’s guess, but in the meantime, you might want to watch it all go down. If so, there are plenty of ways to watch the actual ceremony, along with all the festivities leading up and following. Let’s take a look at some of the best ways to watch the 2017 Presidential Inauguration.

Twitter Offers a Free Live Stream

This past year, Twitter has attempted to recreate itself as a destination for live streamed events ranging from presidential debates to NFL match-ups. So it comes as no surprise that it will include a live stream of the inauguration. Coverage comes thanks to PBS NewsHour and begins at 11 AM ET. Find the live stream here.

Watch the Official Government Stream

It seems that even the US government is getting into this whole cord cutting thing. You can venture over to the White House website to watch the official live stream. No word at this point on who will be hosting, so I wouldn’t count on seeing your favorite news anchors providing commentary.

How Conservatives Can Stream FOX News

Of course, if you’re a FOX News follower, you’ll likely be looking for a way to stream the network online. Currently there are two ways to stream without cable. First, sign up for PlayStation Vue and you can stream FOX News live. Your other option would be the new service, DIRECTV NOW. Both have free trials, so you can watch the inauguration coverage on FOX News free.

Watch on YouTube

YouTube is the original hub for live streaming major events. The platform has been doing so (successfully, I might add), since way back with the Royal Wedding. So of course you’ll find plenty of coverage on the platform. You can start here with the New York Times.

Watch Free with Sling TV Trial

Sling TV is the original live linear streaming service. launched back in 2015, Sling’s basic package will allow you to stream CNN without cable. Other packages include MSNBC, The Blaze, and more. And since the service offers a free 7-day trial, you could sign up and watch all the festivities…if you don’t like it, simply cancel after it’s done. Learn more at Sling.com.

Like him or not, there’s no stopping Trump becoming the next president. Whether you’re tuning in to celebrate or sneer, there are tons of ways to do so.
