The Vampire Diaries’ Matt Davis Talks About His New Role on Cult

With his turn as Alaric on The Vampire Diaries all wrapped up, Matt Davis isn’t straying far for his new show. He’s staying on board with the CW for “Cult.” The series focuses on Davis as a “journalist blogger” (what a fun phrase), who investigates fans of a crime show who may actually be committing real life murders to replicate the program.

Obviously many will automatically associate Cult with The Following, currently doing reasonably well on Fox, but hopefully there will be enough to make each show unique from the other. Above, Davis talks about the new show, and you might be able to get a better sense of it from what he says. Check out the video above via PopSugar.
