Sherlock co-creator/writer/executive producer Steven Moffat and his wife/producer Sue Vertue announced today that the show will continue beyond the three episodes that aired over the last three weeks in an interview on the BBC's Breakfast programme. The interview can be viewed here.
Moffat explained that there were only three episodes in the shows initial run due to their 90-minute running time. "There will be more," said Vertue. "We're having a meeting to talk about how many and when." Moffat will obviously be very busy with Doctor Who, so when seems to be the biggest question that needs to be answered. He also confirmed that the upcoming episodes will also be 90 minutes long.
The show will air in the United States and Canada in October, and the DVD will be released in the UK August 30.
