Ah, the information age.  Or perhaps we should call it... the dis-information age.  Turns out those rumors that Three Rivers has been canceled aren't even remotely true.  Apparently it all started at this site's twitter.  This is good news.  The very talented Alex O'Loughlin deserves a break.  Moonlight should have stuck around a little longer and we're still mourning it, but it looks like Three Rivers still has a chance at finding an audience - for now.  Our original erroneous report is below:

2473599163_a56bdd14b9Poor Alex O'Loughlin.  His 2007 series Moonlight was canceled, despite love from the fans, and now his new CBS drama Three Rivers has also be canceled.

Only three episodes of the series have aired.  There is no word on whether other filmed episodes will air on CBS.

We will post more information as we get it.

How incredibly unprofessional to post an unconfirmed report of that nature… based on a tweet no less. And then to blame it on the information age.

It's not a hoax. The show is canceled. My confirmation is with a producer of the show. CBS is still planning to air an episode and likely doesn't want bad PR for it.

  5. IF it's true (which is highly speculative, coming from a site with no credibility), then that's not really a shock. I've been waiting for them to do this for a while, honestly.

Not that I WANT 3r to be cancelled, by any means . Alex O is a fine actor and does some decent work, but this show was doomed from episode one. Why?

Firstly, how many new "doctor" series' are there this year? We have Trauma, Mercy, 3R, and maybe more? That's not a good place to come in.

Secondly, the network has basically screwed with this show since episode one, switching episodes, massive delays (to the point where Tivo catches it around :30 or so), basically killing the show itself.

Thirdly, the show wasn't even advertised.

While I'm happy to see this show is not "cancelled" (next time, source your articles or don't bother), the furutre doesn't look good for it.

I agree, get your info right. Three Rivers is a good program. Alex is a wonderful actor and should be given a second chance. Of all the medical programs on TV I like Three Rivers the best.

How can any show survive with Sunday night football on .  Everything either gets pre-empted or bumped into a different time period and you can’t find it.  I am not a football fan at all, but many men are and why they would put a brand new show that doesn’t have a following against Sunday night football is beyond me.

It tells me that the high paid execs at CBS in charge of this sort of thing are being paid way too much for being stupid.
