What in GOD'S NAME is FOX smoking?!?!?!?!
According to E! Online, FOX has decided to move Glee to Tuesdays when it returns in the spring, airing after American Idol.
During LOST.
W.T.F!!!!
Not only will these two go head to head with each other, but we have Melrose Place, NCIS: Los Angeles, and numerous other shows that air during that time slot. LOST's final season will slaughter whatever competition (if you want to call it that out of being nice) out there, so why would FOX put a freshman drama against the Goliath of TV shows on the air right now? Oh! And wonder if people will start accepting the bastard stepchild of ratings that is the Live plus Seven numbers after live ratings drop during this time slot?
As the E! Online article states: "Choices must be made." So I ask, dear readers, what will be your choice?

PVR's have changed the landscape of TV. No longer does putting two shows head-to-head mean one will fail. LOST will get live viewers and GLEE fans who also watch LOST will PVR Glee.

TVThink, that's the problem. While I see your point, the fact is that DVR ratings don't mean diddly squat to advertisers, networks, and sometimes, suprisingly, viewers. If 'Glee' or any show for that matter does a sudden drop in ratings, people take notice. Not to continue to beat a dead horse, but Dollhouse had a 50% bump in ratings after its DVR viewings were included, but that wasn't enough to save it from cancellation. Here is my article I wrote on DVR viewings and why they should matter instead of glanced over:  http://www.tvovermind.com/dollhouse/dollhouse-continues-to-excel-in-dvr-ratings/12074#axzz0Y05N2e9A” rel=”nofollow”>;http://www.tvovermind.com/dollhouse/dollhouse-continues-to-excel-in-dvr-ratings/12074#axzz0Y05N2e9A
I think that Glee is the type of show which naturally acquires more viewers. For the most part, those that watch Lost won’t watch Glee. However, for anyone who has been watching Lost since the beginning and just started to enjoy Glee, it’s definitely going to be hurt by live viewing numbers.
MELROSE PLACE all the way!!!

True. Advertisers in particular will shy away from DVR #’s since people FF thru the ads, and it is the advertising that pays for the show. I was thinking with my ‘viewers hat’ not my ‘ratings hat’. :)

I was already assuming that the only reason ABC scheduled Lost for Tuesday instead of its usual Wednesday was so that it wouldn’t have to compete with Glee. Now I’m going to have to choose? That’s ridiculous! While I guess Idol is a natural lead-in for Glee, I’d much rather they left it alone in it’s slot where so many Gleeks have found and loved it. This is going to make viewings VERY difficult. Couldn’t they just leave it on Wednesday and let the results show be the lead-in?

UGH – with the DVR I can only pick two -and it’ll be MELROSE PLACE and LOST for sure! (what do I do about watching GLEE?)
P.S. Thank you for pushing for networks to include DVR ratings – MELROSE PLACE makes very significant ratings gains when DVR viewership is included (I think more than most shows on TV).

It’s going to be LOST. No question.

Looks like Glee will be getting the DVR treatment! There is no way I am missing a single live episode of this Final Season of LOST!
