Mark Paul Gosselaar cannot get a break it seems…
TNT has decided to axe the Mark-Paul Gosselaar legal drama, Raising The Bar, due to the show's second season ratings dive, according to E! Online.
"We're proud of the series and appreciate the efforts of all of the creative people who were involved. Unfortunately, ratings forĀ Raising the Bar's second season did not reach the levels required for TNT to renew the series," claims a TNT rep. The statement also mentioned how they love working with the cast and crew of the show, most notably Steven Bochco, creator of Hill Street Blues, LA Law and NYPD Blue (which also starred Gosselaar in its later seasons).
Despite canceling the courtroom drama, TNT renewed other shows, some which we knew about (Leverage and HawthoRNe) and others, such as The Closer, that are yet to be renewed but have a greater chance of returning than the US catching Osama Bin Laden in the next year. Dark Blue, the Dylan McDermott cop drama, is still up in the air.
All these cancellations for TNT makes way for the new drama, Men of a Certain Age, starring Ray Romano, Andre Braugher, and Scott Bakula, which I am most definitely looking forward to.
What about you? Has TNT committed the worse sin by putting Mark-Paul Gosselaar, aka the leader of Zack Attack, out of work again? Break the fourth wall and talk amongst yourselves!
