Welcome to today's TVO News Wormhole. We are not responsible for the nausea you might feel as side-effect after your journey through the slipstream.
- The man with the "eyeliner" is back! LOST alum Nestor Carbonell, who played the mysterious, and ageless, Richard Alpert on LOST, has reportedly been cast in the new Sarah Michelle Gellar pilot, Ringer, which is being filmed for CBS. Deadline reports that Carbonell will be playing an FBI agent who will be in charge of keeping Gellar's character safe as she assumes her sister's identity. To read more about Ringers, click here.
- The detectives of Law & Order: Criminal Intent have a new captain for their final season. Deadline reports that Jay O. Sanders has signed on to play the boss of returning L&O:CI members Kathryn Erbe (Det. Alexandra Eames) and Vincent D'Onofrio (Det. Robert Goren). Sanders's captain, whose name hasn't been given yet, will appear in the eight episode tenth and final season of the long-running drama. Sanders can also be seen in this year's "Green Lantern."
- Dallas being filmed outside of Dallas? That's the possible plan according to Zap2it's Jethro Nededog, since scouters for the show are looking at shooting the reboot/sequel series of the original CBS drama outside of not only the city of Dallas, but the state of Texas as well. Original series star Larry Hagman, who has signed on for the reboot, is not amused and thinks it's a bad idea. "I hope they get Dallas. It would be awful if they get any place else - just for the publicity angle alone, " Hagman told Zap's Nededog.
A word of caution to Dallas's producers: You are not dealing with a teen actor/actress here. You are dealing with Larry Hagman. He will walk out on your ass and whistle a fine tuned medley while doing so. Please proceed with caution to not piss him off for the sake of the audience and your production.
