Ratings: Viewer's Flee "Sarah Palin's Alaska"

Sarah Palin's AlaskaAfter a record setting premiere, Sarah Palin's Alaska took a major hit this weekend - giving up almost half of its live audience.  The latest preliminary ratings for the former Vice Presidential candidate and half-term Governor's show are down 40%, or a cool 2-million viewers headed south on Sarah Palin's Alaska, bringing its number of live viewers from 5-million to 3-million.  Making matters worse for Palin, less than a million of those viewers were in the advertising friendly age range of 18-49.  Ratings data on Sarah Palin's Alaska reveals that most of the show's viewers are over 57.  Not. Good.

On the other hand,  daughter Bristol Palin is part of an epic showdown on ABC's Dancing With the Stars.  23 million viewers tuned in to watch her compete against fellow finalists Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey.  This should make for interesting table talk when the Palin's get together for Thanksgiving this week.
