Hey you, the TV fan that said you were waiting for prices to come down before you converted to Blu Ray. How does $68 sound to you? And you, the tech columnist that said Blu Ray was a fad ... oh, you're not important enough to talk to anymore.
Black Friday is nearly upon us and TV fans in particular are going to make out very good if the rumors of Walmart's door buster deals are true. Here are a few things that might be of interest to TV fans this Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving to the rest of you.)
- 32-inch Emerson 720p LCD HDTV - $198
- 42-inch Emerson 1080p LCD HDTV for $398
- 42-inch LG 1080p LCD HDTV for $478
- Magnavox Wi-Fi Blu-ray player (with a $10 credit for on-demand movie service Vudu) for $68
Not to be outdone, Target is apparently offering some similar TV related deals including 40-inch LCDs for $298, and Wii Fit bundles - perfect for burning off those Turkey day calories - for $68.
So if you are still being bathed in cathode rays, or have yet to see what this whole Blu Ray thing is about, get out your hammer and smash your piggy-bank; the state of the art is most definitely affordable. Now, who has seen any 3D sets for under $500?
