What's on TV Tonight - Thursday September 27th, 2012
Tonight is an absolutely HUGE night for TV fans with some of the most anticipated debuts and returns of the season. For starters, believe the hype: ABC's Last Resort at 8pm is probably one of the best new series of the past few years, let alone the season. The concept of a Submarine going rogue after receiving shady orders to nuke Pakistan, seems more like the basis for a film than a series, so it should be highly interesting to see how they intend to elongate it into a series worth of story. ABC also has the premieres of Grey's Anatomy (going up against Glee, who will win?), and Scandal (Check out our advanced review here) on tap.
For CBS, The Big Bang Theory returns at 8pm, followed by Two and a Half Men at 8:30. Interesting duo since TBBT's Jim Parson's was expected to win lead actor in a comedy (Check out our recap of Emmy Upsets here), but the award went to Two and a Half Men's Jon Cryer. After a block of comedy, CBS brings Person of Interest back at 9, and debuts Elementary at 10pm.
NBC is all comedy with all new SNL Weekend Update at 8, Up all Night at 8:30, The Office at 9, and Parks and Recreation at 9:30.
FOX brings us another auditions episode of The X-Factor at 8pm, followed by an all new Glee at 9pm.
