After weeks of mystery surrounding the character replacing Charlie Sheen's Charlie Harper in CBS' hit show Two and a Half Men, details about who Ashton Kutcher is going to play in the upcoming season have finally been revealed.
Earlier this morning, during the TCA press room session, CBS president, Nina Tassler, announced his character’s name during her TCA press session: Walden Schmidt. Walden is an internet billionaire, who is nursing a broken heart, she teased.
Tassler has neither confirmed or denied rumors that the season will start with Charlie Harper's funeral with all his exes in attendance and his house being put on the market, as reported by Deadline.com this past Monday. If those rumors are correct, however, Kutcher's character would be one of the potential buyers.
"I know that's out there, but I'm not going to confirm or deny that. The mystery is a part of the marketing." she explained.
While not many details have been revealed, we know that the season premiere will be a two-parter split over two weeks. When asked whether Walden would be related to any of the returning characters, Tassler only said that the mystery is part of the marketing.
Two and a Half Men returns with an all new season on September 19th on CBS.
This is just a way to get big stars to show up, they'll be showing up to look at the house. The 1st couple of episodes will do well and then it'll tank.
Oh man i hope it doesn't suck, i hope it goes for at least 2 years aha, so it'll have a perfect seaason 10 run, although its kind of ruin know, that Charlie isn't in there, lmao. I hope its good.
Okay am I the only one who thinks that this is going to blow chunks. I love Ashton Kutcher, but how does that premise make Two and a Half Men? Charlie should die and so should show.
Oh yeah and Jake is too damn old to be a Half. And what? Ashton is going to buy the house and Jake and Alan are just going to hang out? What about Berta…she is the true glue to this broken story.
