There's nothing like a bad mom, and Anna is the epitome. After we saw her give her daughter Lisa a bruiser last week (and order her legs to be broken) in order to lure Tyler back into Lisa's good graces, we now see in this sneak peek a different Anna. One who cares about her daughter, one who reacts emotionally when she sees her daughter in her mangled state. That is, until she smiles at the end as she turn away from Erica's point of view.

But here's the part that gets me: why is Anna showing emotion like this? Vs have supposedly denounced all human emotion within their ranks, and only express it when they are on show and want to seem human to gain trust. But in this case, Anna is showing the emotion of smug satisfaction while no one is looking. What good does that do? Does Anna actually possess emotions that she shields from everyone, even her own people? Or is this just the sorrows of television production oversight?

Regardless of what Anna is feeling in this scene, though, I do have to mention that the scene is very significant: it's the first time Erica and Anna have met face to face. For the two leads of the series, they've had no screen time. I can't wait to see what happens between the two in this, the penultimate episode of the first (and perhaps only) season.
