Tonight on White Collar: Taking a Trip to the Jazz Age

White Collar - Season 4White Collar ventures into a New York of the past as a case leads Neal (Matt Bomer) and Peter (Tim DeKay) to an infamous jazz club. After the development with Ellen's key actually being a replica of a specific New York skyline, the hunt for where it leads continues.

Last week saw Neal and Peter approaching Senator Pratt (Titus Welliver) and it became very clear that Pratt is aware of who Neal is and what they are attempting to do. Pratt fired a warning shot, getting someone to mess with Peter's brakes which led to quite a serious accident. This caused Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen) to lay down the law with Neal and insist that he no longer involves Peter with anything key related. Neal has done as Elizabeth wishes and is now only investigating the key and the hidden evidence box with Mozzie (Willie Garson).

Peter however, knows that Neal is lying about the key and is also in possession of a replica and has also worked out that the key is a representation of a certain New York skyline. The problem here is that Peter doesn't know the real reason why Neal is lying and it just appears as if Neal is up to his old tricks. White Collar has a habit of having secrets between this pair which can get a bit tiresome, but I'm glad that there is a twist on this deception.

One thing that White Collar is exceptional at is using their New York location to their advantage. The hunt for the right location will definitely show off the impressive skyline and we will also be heading to another iconic New York location tonight. Jazz clubs are a part of New York's history and this case will take us to one of the most famous; the Cotton Club. Diana (Marsha Thomason) is going undercover as a cigar girl, but it looks like she will be in danger as she tries to find evidence of forgery and money laundering.

Tonight's episode is also Tim DeKay's second time behind the camera directing, last season he got to shoot at the new Yankee Stadium and he is adding another iconic location with the Cotton Club. It is also a special episode because Diahann Carroll who plays June will be singing two numbers tonight.
