Amazon’s Zombieland Launch Poops Out – Embarrassing!

51UsTPZ7IpL._SX500_Amazon was scheduled to join the revolution of streaming original content today, but it appears the effort has been sidelined by some—oops!—technical glitches.  Not exactly the best of circumstances for the publisher that has been pushing itself as on the leading edge of product delivery technology.

Their initial offering was to be the pilot for Zombieland The Series, based on Zombieland the film, got a major publicity push today, but visitors to the premiere page at Amazon were greeted with a looping advertisement that said the pilot was coming soon.  As of right now, the pilot is still not playing.

This may yet turn out to be a disastrous move for Amazon, who apparently launched the pilot without confirming that their network was going to be able to handle Zombieland‘s fanbase.  A few reviews HAVE begun to trickle in, and the early word seems to indicate that many of these viewers have given up on trying to watch the series on Amazon and have turned to more illicit markets to get their zombie fix.
