Coming off the news that ABC renewed Once Upon a Time, the network has also renewed two veteran shows and two freshman series.
Revenge, which premiered this season as a delicious new primetime soap, has been picked up for a second season. Grey’s Anatomy, the long-running medical drama from Shonda Rhimes, will also be returning in the fall for its ninth season, which isn’t that unexpected since most of the main cast recently renewed their contracts. Veteran show, Castle, was also picked up for a fifth season.
Suburgatory, starring Jeremy Sisto, premiered this past fall and has found a solid home on the Wednesday night comedy block. It will be returning next fall for a second season. Finally, comedy The Middle has been renewed for a fourth season.
Desperate Housewives will be ending this year, so after these announcements we’re still unsure about the fate of GCB, The Missing, Body of Proof and a few more.
